I.T. by Design is the custom software solution provider for whom i work as a Design Specialist. i am really in love with this job as we're treated VERY well as human beings with souls, hopes, and dreams, &c. We're given the option of working half-day Fridays (leaving at zwolf Uhr, baby!) by working four, nine-hour days during the week. Oh, and we get company-sponsored iPhones too.

My job duties are varied: i handle all of the graphic assets for marketing, the branding guidelines, the office stationery, the print ads and the online ads. i also do a lot of billable work too: i make the icons for our web apps and our desktop apps; i make the ui frontends for our web apps and our desktop apps. in this, i work in a number of workflow contexts: sharepoint designer, visual studio 2008 (rarely work in visual studio 2005), and my fave app workflow context: Coda or BBEdit with CSSEdit for markup-related things and PhotoShop for mockups and icons (not forgetting, pardon me, the necessity of illustrator structures for my PhotoShop portions).

But i am seriously digressing from what i INTENDED to talk about: we have a new site. While our new site, http://www.itbydesign.us, is a collaborative effort between our marketing girl, our president, one of our developers and myself, i am THE SOLE designer on this project and so the design decisions were basically mine (at least when i wasn't busy arguing with the marketing girl).
